Developing Communities
Quick Web have a great deal of experience in providing tools that create a
community on a website. We allow you to pubish news stories, press releases and
the like. Our components can be set to allow site visitors to comment to these
new stories (like a blog), or user interaction can be extended to a full forum
system.
As we have written our own scalable forum components, we have complete
control over what happens to messages. We can filter each message as it is
posted, and pass them through profanity filters, link checks or mark specific
messages as needing to be checked before being publicly available.
Our message administration software can monitor multiple forums from a single
location on a variety of platforms (PC/Mac, PDA etc.) so that you don't get
bogged down with the day to day management of a forum.
Other community driven systems we have been involved in check various online
stores for product prices allowing site visitors to get the best prices for
their chosen purchase, or to actually locate product when availability is low.
Our Xbox 360 website was the first of it's kind in the world
to integrate price comparison, product location and text messaging alerts to
inform members when product was actually available.
We have followed this up with a number of other web properties along similar models,
which allow us to continue our SEO work and managed PPC campaigns. The first
two of these are wiisearcher.com and ps3locator.com, which allow visitors to find a Wii or find a PS3 respectively.
All of these experiences are incorporated into our regular business to
business offerings where relevent.
